CHCH News:

Burlington city councillor says Environment and Climate Change Canada has opened an investigation into the removal of trees from the Millcroft Golf Club.
CHCH News has reached out to Environment and Climate Change Canada for confirmation, but has not received any response.
Residents of the Millcroft neighbourhood in Burlington are outraged following the removal of over 400 trees on the golf course by a developer. The Ontario Land Tribunal has approved the plan to develop 90 high-priced houses in parts of the golf course.
Ward 6 Councillor. Angelo Bentivegna says the federal legislation known as the Migratory Birds Convention Act prohibits cutting down trees during nesting season.
The city launched its own investigation into the actions taken by the developer in early May.
