MAD Granted Party Status!

The first Ontario Land Tribunal case management session was held this morning.

The City of Burlington, with the consent of Millcroft Greens, requested that a second case management session be scheduled in that, with the recent Municipal election, Burlington counsel has not made a decision on the application. The second case management session was set for March 6, 2023 at 10:00 am. At this session, all parties will provide their issues list such that the Ontario Land Tribunal will be able to assess the length of the hearing required as well schedule the hearing.

For all of those folks that requested participant status, this was granted. Going forward, the participants will be notified of future case management sessions as well the hearing.

Millcroft Greens asked that the Ontario Land Tribunal delay granting Party status to the other parties. However the Tribunal rejected the developer’s request and granted Party status

  • Millcroft Coalition Against Bad Development (MAD)

  • Conservation Halton

  • Region of Halton

  • Millcroft Greenspace Alliance

We would like to thank our lead counsel, Chantal DeSereville, for making the appropriate arguments for MAD to obtain Party status.

Until the next Case Management
