Turf And Rec Article Rally Planned

A rally is being planned for Saturday in Burlington, Ont. by opponents of a planned development on sections of the Millcroft Golf Club.

The Burlington Post reports the “call to action” by Millcroft Against Bad Development isn’t a protest but a friendly gathering. Among those invited to attend are Ontario Premier Doug Ford and Municipal Affairs and Housing Rob Flack.

The golf course is operating this season as a nine-hole layout with 90 homes and a 130-unit building planned for parts of the golf course property.

Although only the back nine holes will be in play this season, the golf course hopes to reopen the front nine hole next years, according to information posted on its website.
