Potential Development Signs Installed

The potential development signs you are seeing in Millcroft are part of an intense, years-long battle over the future of the Millcroft Golf Club.

The community is currently experiencing two separate, high-stakes development tracks: active construction that has already been approved, and a brand-new push by the developer Argo to build even more homes in Phase 2.

In order that compliance with the requirements of the Planning Act and associated regulations with respect to notice of public meeting, the proponent must erect a sign on each property, including each of the properties on which there is an existing single detached dwelling (ie  4291 Couples Crescent and 4135 Millcroft Park Dr) in addition to the open space/golf course lands.

No works on the Phase 2 lands have been requested or authorized by the City pertaining to the proposed redevelopment of the lands.

The purpose of the signs is to ensure Planning Act compliance with respect to public notice of the applications in advance of the upcoming public meeting of Committee tentatively planned for September 15, 2026.
